Sophia Huang (黃舒郁) is a statistician, data scientist, AI engineer, filmmaker, theater producer, and data storyteller — applying narrative practice to edge AI, accessible performing arts, and Indo-Pacific resilience.
As CEO of Ariel Innovations and President of the International Performing Arts Consortium (IPAC), she leads the development of Storytelling Supertitles™, an edge-AI multilingual captioning system for live performance designed to make stagework legible across languages and accessibility needs. The system holds granted utility model patents in Taiwan (M678964) and Japan (3255721 U), with an invention patent (特許) pending in Japan.

A CEATEC 2026 keynote anchors a seven-month integrated campaign on edge-AI deployment in performing arts and civil infrastructure.
Beyond the arts, she develops thought leadership on Indo-Pacific HADR (humanitarian assistance and disaster relief) resilience, civil-military training, and edge-AI applications in defense technology — examining how the same architectural decisions that determine whether a show goes on when the cloud fails also determine whether warning systems reach communities under stress.
黃舒郁（Sophia Huang）是統計學家、數據科學家、 機械學習工程師、電影工作者、劇場製作人，也是運用數據敘事的講者—將敘事實踐應用於邊緣 AI、表演藝術近用設計，以及印太區域韌性論述。
她現任 Ariel Innovations 執行長、國際舞台文化表演藝術交流協會（IPAC）理事長，主導 Storytelling Supertitles™ 故事化字幕系統的研發—一套為現場表演設計的邊緣 AI 多語字幕架構，讓劇場內容跨越語言與近用門檻。該系統已取得台灣（M678964）與日本（3255721 U）新型專利，日本發明專利（特許）審查中。

藝術之外，她持續發表並開始建構印太區域人道援助與災害應變（HADR）韌性、民防訓練與國防科技邊緣 AI 應用的論述—觀察當雲端失效時演出能否如期完成的架構決策，與災防警報能否抵達脆弱社群的架構決策，本質上是同一個問題。
